*************************************************************************************

I dwell in the hell of sheer confusion, my mind knows not where to turn. I've been decieved, I've been rejected, I don't know when I'll learn. I gave her my heart, I gave her my soul, she gave me a pain so bad. She ripped out my heart and tore up my soul and laid me down and laughed. I cry all night and ask God why, why did this happen to me. But no reply, just a sigh saying please don't ask me. Did I choose this punishment, did I choose this pain, that I will never know. I tried so hard, I gave it my all, and now what do I have to show? My confidence is lost, my emotions ripped to shreds and my mind has wandered away. I know not what, I know not how, but I know there is something to say. I say I'm sorry, I say please forgive me, but why do I say these things. For she is one, who had all her fun, and left me a pile of beans. She said she cared, she said she loved me, but now I know it wasn't true. Everytime she spoke was a lie, and the worst was "I love you". She made me feel special, she made me feel grand, and then she made me feel dead. I loved her so, and I think I still do, but I can't digest the lies I've been fed. I head towards the light, the light of pure disaster and she pointed in that direction. I don't put up a fight, I just go faster and she shows me no affection. I live this hell that is called heartbreak, and only now I know it's pain. I only hope one thing, I only wish that she would feel the least bit shame.

PARADISE

I gotta run away, far far away

To a place where my heart and my soul are free

A place where blind eyes can finally see

A place where you'll want to love me

A place where you'll want to hold me

Yeah, that's where I want to be.

I wanna be where our hearts can intertwine

Where I'll know you're every thought

And you'll know mine

A place that was perfectly made for you and me

That's where I'll always long to be.

I can imagine it in my heart

The two of us so happy, never wanting to be apart

Our worries would be few, as long as were together

We'd have the greatest love of all

And it would last forever.

what is love

or a soul laid bare

~~~
is it real
for all to see
or hidden
deep inside of me
is it rare
common or trite
to exist does it dare
or slowly die each night
is it an illusion
Forgive me My Lady
Though I never knew you
your grace touched my heart;
A Princess to the world
your loss tears us apart.
I sit and wonder what brought this upon,
Your fame, your fortune, your faults--all gone.
But tis not your status which raised you so high
but only your deeds and your laughter--your cry.
What reward is this for achieving so much
influencing the lives of many--offering your touch;
Pursued and harassed while Grace stood strong
who could endure, no, survive so long?
Now your executioners will bask in your fame
using the sincerity of sorrow while chasing your name;
Fortunes are to be had with each invasion of space
curiosity of the many is what caused the chase.
I shall always remember the moment of doom
proclaimed by the wires, alone in my room;
Frozen in time the shock of your loss
heated with anger from the waste--the cost.
I cry with the world for the release of your soul
sorrow for your children, freedom your goal;
I ask for forgiveness, as I'm as guilty as the next
enthralled by your Grace I hungered like the rest.
Though I never knew you
you've touched my soul;
I pray your happiness is final
for you are no longer alone.
Diana was Light and Love
Once in every century or so,
A light so bright to earth does glow,
To feed the souls of humankind,
To heal the sick, release the binds,
A beacon on the path does show,
Where all our feet should choose to go,
A humanitarian, but so much more,
A gentle soul whom we adore,
Your smile imprinted on our souls,
Your valiant journey, oh so bold,
A message for the world you gave,
A woman dedicated and brave,
We'll miss your guiding light,
As you take to greater heights,
Follow in your path we will,
To fight the world's distress and ills,
For should we choose a lesson learned,
With love, darkness into light can turn.
Laughter
Laughter is not always a happy thing.
It’s sometimes snide or even mean.
It should be happy, or at least I think it should.
Laughter just seems like it should always be good.
When I think of Laughter, I think of joy.
I think of two children, a girl and a boy.
Precious in our sight, as we watch them laugh and play.
Think about it, they may be a wife or a husband someday.
Laughter is also like a babbling brook.
Like pure, clear splashes in every nook.
The rocks don’t complain, as it babbles all day.
Nor do they snicker snidely and say go away.
What do you think of Laughter? How does it make you feel?.
Is it pretended, or is it real?
Let’s let it bubble and build, with happiness inside.
So we can have happy laughter, the whole world wide.
THE HEART SINGS
The heart sings with melodious tones.
It sings of life in different songs.
Songs of laughter.
Songs of tears.
Songs of courage.
Songs of fear.
But always, the heart sings.
The heart sings with emotion and feeling.
It sings of passion and senses reeling.
Songs of terror in the darkest night.
Songs of joy in the brightest light.
Songs of pain in different places.
Songs of rapture in love's embraces.
But always, the heart sings.
The heart sings with love and devotion.
It sings with all of our emotions.
Songs of Peace.
Songs of Faith.
Songs of Healing.
Songs of Grace.
But always,
THE HEART SINGS.
Damn The Moon
She awakens with the night
Climbs high above the stars
And casts her light
Upon my lonely heart
Where are you now
As if I didn't know
Cruel laughter from the void
Breaks the silence of my room
Damn your love
Damn the dark
Damn the moon
She walks in restless dreams
Pale witch cloaked in black
Dancing around and singing
"He's never coming back!"
I can't call
It's been eternity
Did I fall in love too soon
She whispers "You're the fool"
Damn your lies
Damn my heart
Damn the moon
Was it fate, or just bad timing?
Tragedy?
I don't know
But love is a lie
Truth is a sabre
Makes the heart bleed
An empty tomb
Damn the dark
Damn my heart
Damn the moon
The Dream
Here we are alone together
Up till now this moment's only been
A sweet and cherished dream
That left me crying when I woke up
Just to find myself surrounded by reality
Now you're lying here beside me
More beautiful than you have ever been
And here I am afraid to touch you
Afraid you'll fade into the morning once again
Tell me this is real...
Tell me I'm not dreaming
Promise I won't wake up
And lose you again
Oh, Darling, I need you
And I've loved you a long, long time
So if I'm only dreaming...
Don't let this dream end
Heart of Stone
You've built a wall around you
And sworn your heart is made of stone
Vowed you'd never let me break through
You're better off alone
You think those walls are your protection
You believe they'll keep you free
You hide behind an emotional armour
So you don't lose your heart to me
Can't you see you're a prisoner
And your fortress is your pain
If you had only let my love touch your heart of stone
I would have set you free againb
One day, you may realize
That my love was true
And that somewhere deep inside your heart of stone
You really loved me, too
Morning Grace
Good morning, O my love!
The yellow morning sun is riding on
the cool, refreshing February breeze;
the silver dew drops on the palm fronds
stare with shining eyes; the wet grass sees
the worms come peeking out, while dew-washed birds
all rest with wing and tail wide-spread a-top the trees
and gossip back and forth in chirpy words!
I wake again, refreshed by dreams of you,
and join the birds' rejoicing in the dew!
My tormenting lover
hes back i see
can i trust him... do i dare
from deaths despair i flee
as my heart he did impair
as now he calls to me
resistance is futile... damn i really care
he holds the key
my soul is his, half a pair
fearing anihilation defensive is she
cringing from his stare
as tears fall like dreams in fantasy
so much i want to share
but dont hurt me please i plea
knowing in love all is fair
forgiving grudgingly he
knowing her soul is bare...
and the master eats
Rhonda
first kiss
i dont know why i couldnt lie and play a simple game
entertainment only did i seek, passing time my only aim
wandering through my life in fear, hiding from fame
knowing not what i much needed and wanted were both the same
unaware i was called by the one fairytales promised
by the time i snapped, it was too late to admonish
now forever bound to the one who needs no polish
i can never flee, by his spell i am astonished
so i cry late each night
silently praying for all to be made right
my feelings grow till no longer can i fight
surrendering all, lest i displease in his sight
so long did i sleep, over half my life
crawling inside myself, hiding from strife
all barriers lost, piercing like a knife
though i often wonder, can pain be loves wife
are there really any answers
will i ever know
or crawl back inside myself
to hide, too afraid to grow.
THE TAJ MAHAL
When he could comb her long black hair
He existed in ethereal harmony without a care
When he could kiss her silken lips
Omnipotence was at his finger tips
A loving glance across the courtyard
The peacocks call to lovers near and far
The throne of God in Paradise was on his mind
For he had found it in her dark eyes
And in these years when time stood still
He would watch her from his windowsill
The rain would gently caress her body
Saturating her golden robes - capturing her essence her beauty
Love shared so completely - Like a fairy tale
Love transcending life - that would never fail
And he swore, "Should the gods call you to heaven,"
"Testimony of our love shall live on earth forever"
I will build for you, The Taj Mahal
A great temple of love and symmetry that will never fall
I will burn with fire for you for infinity
Immortalize you in history
I will always remember your love dark hair
Your skin bronze, then fair
I will agonize for you for eternity
But I would much rather have you here with me...
I would much rather have you here with me...
If only you were here with me...
TO BE THERE WITH YOU
Oh, Caren, remember walking along the beach
And wading in the ocean
Performing our ablutions
And resolving to remain in a Marquesan paradise forever
And remember finding a shell
That had nothing to do with oil
It was clean and it was neat and you
Could hear the ocean in your ear - feel the mud beneath your feet
Then a six foot Polynesian put a beautiful lotus flower in your ear
Where he got that lotus isn't quite clear
But I remember it
Pink and pretty among your straight black hair
Oh, Caren, I want to take you on the Appalachian trail
High among the mountains of West Virginia
I want to take you there, I want to be there
To be there with you
Well, maybe we never were in Marquesas
Maybe I made it all up
Maybe I have trouble dealing with reality
I just want it back the way it used to be
And I know we can't perform our ablutions
With the ocean so full of polutions
Oh, Caren, I want to be there
Under the hot lights
I want to be there with you.
GIFT OF PEACE
Peaceful fields all a flower
Blooming in reds, yellows, and blues
Orange bright illumination from the sun
A great thick stroke of color
Over umber yellow fields
The plough man swings his sickle blade
In violet shadows- not a stroke of black
This peace I want to paint for you
Quiet in peaceful fields all a flower
Glowing in the radiance of nature
A great thick stroke of color
What do you like yellow to radiate
The barley cut but gently
And not ploughed under
In violet shadows - not a stroke of black
A peace I want to paint for you
I heard about your misfortune
I want to give you what I know
A solemn gift of color
Peaceful fields all aglow
With colors of the rainbow
A gift for you
A million people - hurtful, hateful
Hush now, as they come on by
To visit a temple of the ancient
Wonderful shades of crimson on high
It's hard to imagine the changing season
Without my old friend
But now, as I paint without a stroke of black,
It is like sacrament
Yellows, reds, and oranges
Bright and powerful like a vision
Of happiness and peaceful awakening
A gift of color
I give to you
A gift of peace
I give to you
The Music Of The Soul
There's a music that I listen to,
it lifts me up inside.
It brings to me, peace and joy,
returning like the tide.
It's sure and never changing,
just like the songs of ole.
The music that I listen to,
is the music of the soul.
This music plays within my heart,
and lifts me up on high.
It plays so sweetly in my heart,
I know that I can fly.
It gives me strength and sets me free,
to do the things I'm told.
For my Father in his Kingdom,
plays the music of the soul.
This music that I listen to,
is loving and forgiving.
It says that Jesus died for me,
so I could go on living.
It says that Jesus loves me,
that the Bible tells me so.
This music that I listen to,
The Music Of The Soul.
"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever." John Keats
ENGLISH ROSE
Amidst the Sea of
Flowers near a crystal
Clear spring,
A Virgin awaits--
Pure, shy, and modest.
The obedient faire maiden
Accepts the assignment
As Princess of the realm,
Diana, protector
Of young children,
Who romp in fields
Like her namesake,
The Huntress, armed with
Bow and arrow for the
Hunt from darkness into light.
She was worshipped,
In grandeur, for her
Charity to those
Maimed and brokenhearted,
And her extraordinary efforts
In overcoming her own
Bound Fate
Set before her on
Life's
Journey,
Striking that deep
Chord within us all
Where we Live and
Breathe in Humanity,
Oh, she walks in love,
Inspiring still...
A garland of flowers and light
Encircle her head--
Our Diana,
The English Rose...
DIANA, THE HUNTRESS
Her English country side
Beckons the muse
Of Sacred poetry, ushering
From the woods near
Sparkling fresh water--
A goddess armed
With a radiant smile,
Innocence, openness--
True to her core
As Princess.
A goddess who endured
Labours of her destiny
With tender and sensitive
Goodness--
Quiet power.
A goddess of
Beauty bestowed by
God--
Her countenance
Beyong compare.
A goddess whose
Eyes held love and
Kindness for the down-
Trodden--her inner love--
Shining towards mankind.
And muffled bells
Ring within leather holders,
Tolling the message
Of a fallen
Heroine. . .
ALL OF THESE ARE WRITTEN FOR ROSS
ROSE
Love is like a rose,
And as time passes
It grows and grows.
It’s feeling is deep,
Together shared,
Forever to keep.
It smells so sweet,
But inside it’s more than that,
It’s where two souls meet.
Promises are like the soil,
You must stay true,
And always be loyal.
Water it like trust,
Without it you’ll fail,
So it is a must.
Together to become one,
Open to each others eyes,
As it reaches for the sun..
Longing to touch,
Longing to feel,
Beginning to miss you so much.
Sometimes you feel pain,
It’s the ache in your heart,
But it only makes you gain.
Your love becomes stronger,
But it all pays off,
Because you’ll be together longer.
Together again,
So full of joy,
Forever till the end.
True Love
Inside you mean so much to me,
I hope that in the end you will know that we are meant to be.
Deep inside my heart…
You have begun to fill that empty part.
You’ve always been more than a friend to me,
I love you and I hope that together we could be.
I’m not sure if you feel the same as I do,
But I promise I would always stay true.
I would do anything just to be by your side,
The feelings I have for you I could never hide.
And if my wish for "us" ever came true,
I promise I would do anything you asked me to.
I would do my best to make you happy,
Make you smile and set your heart free.
So I hope that when you read this,
You will understand our first kiss.
True love always comes at the right time…
For me it’s now, so in the end will you be mine?
ANYTHING
By: Evelynn Tagala
September 8, 1997
Caught in the memories of midnight dreams,
Visions of you and me, or so it seemed.
"Together forever," I once said,
But by you I guess, I was misled.
I thought you were the one for me,
But I guess I never got to see.
The part of you that never felt,
The love that you had that made my heart melt.
Together with you, it felt so nice,
But for such a short time, I had to pay the price.
Why is it so hard for you to see,
That I would do anything for you to be with me.
Hold the hands of death…
And give up my very last breath.
Dream every dream…
To be with you, if that’s what it means.
Chase that longest rainbow around the bend…
If that meant I would see you at the end.
Reach out as far as I could…
If I could hold you again, I would.
I don’t think I could bare to see,
You picking another girl to replace me.
I would break down and cry,
And ask myself, "Why?"
Why is it always me,
That is always left alone just to be.
When you look at me,
Do you ever see…
The hurt in my eyes,
Everytime this heart cries.
So everytime you look back to see,
Remember always…
"That girl" that you left behind is me…
