BIOGRAPHY
Reading has always been
a part of my life. I started my love affair with
romance books worshipping regencies by Barbara Cartland.
I eventually discovered contemporaries and paranormals.
I enjoy reading romances and want to see that
“happily-ever-after” ending.
In 1994 I tried writing
a romance book. Bolstered by lots of enthusiasm, I
mailed it out and received polite rejections. One
agent, however, sent a suggestion. Seems I needed
dialogue in the story! I decided to seek help and learn
what I really needed to know about writing romance
books. I joined Romance Writers of America (RWA) and
Mid America Romance Authors (MARA).
I took a few years off from
writing romance stories and wrote a nonfiction book,
“Breaking the Cycle”, which was published as an ebook in
1999 by Online Originals.
I’ve been married 37
years and have 4 children, 4 grandsons, and have lived
in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, California,
and Kansas, where I now reside.
I’ve taught grades K-3,
remedial reading and math to grades 1-6, and computers
to preschoolers. In 1991 I started and ran a home
business doing insurance billing for doctors, but now
keep busy writing.
My hobbies include
playing bridge and bowling. I’m working on two
paranormal romances now but have 4 other contemporaries
finished that I’m editing.
I’m still a member of
RWA and MARA, but now also belong to Midwest Romance
Writers (MRW) and Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal
(FF&P).
