Jasmine's other work includes more than fifty novels, including several titles from NAL/Dutton. To Catch The Wind, published by NAL in September of 1993, was the launch title for the TOPAZ/Dreamspun imprint, and was nominated by Romantic Times for a Reviewer's Choice Award, along with Timeless, another of her books for TOPAZ. Earlier in her career, Jasmine wrote several books for Berkley Jove under the pseudonym Jasmine Craig, many of which were cited for awards of excellence in the romance fanzines. Recent titles under her own name include Prince Of The Night, for NAL and Edge Of Eternity, a suspense novel included in Harlequin's series, Weddings, Inc. Forthcoming titles include Midnight Fantasy, a Harlequin Temptation due for release in February, 1996, No Sin Too Great, to be published by Mira Books in May, 1996, Shattered Vows, the first book in the De Wilde series for Harlequin, to be published in April, 1996, and I Do, Again, the concluding title in the 12-book De Wilde series, to be published in 1997.
Jasmine served for two years as the editor of the Romance Writers' REPORT, the national journal of the Romance Writers of America, and received RWA's Golden Rose Award for her efforts. She has also served as president of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and is a founder and former president of Novelists, Inc., the nationwide associaton for writers of popular fiction. She also enjoys membership in England's Romantic Novelists Association and the Authors' Guild of America. She received the Colorado Authors League Award for Best Paperback Novel of the Year, and she was twice voted Rocky Mountain Fiction Writer of the Year. In addition, her books have been nominated for RWA's Golden Medallion Award and for numerous awards given by Romantic Times.
Experienced as a public speaker, Jasmine has conducted college seminars on writing the novel, addressed annual writers' conferences all over the country, and delivered general interest speeches to a variety of civic groups. Interviews and profiles have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Denver Post, and the St. Petersburg Times, among many others. After a dozen or so interviews by local television stations, and more radio interviews than she can count, she condsiders herself a veteran of talk shows and news broadcasts.
Jasmine's background is international: She was born in Wales, educated in London, England, graduated early from high school, and received a diploma in technical French and German from the Lycee Francaise in London before joining the British Foreign Office. Transferred to the British Embassy in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 20, she met and married Malcolm Candlish, a young British executive working for the Brazilian subsidiary of a British company. Jasmine accompanied her husband first to the States, then to Australia, and spent two years in Canada, before returning to Chicago, Illinois, where Malcolm continued his high-speed climb to the top of the corporate ladder. She has a bachelor's degree with a double major in history and philosophy from Melbourne University in the Australian state of Victoria; an honour's degree in history from Macquarie University in the Australian state of New South Wales, as well as a Master's Degree in history and archival administration conferred by Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
Jasmine is the mother of three daughters and one son, who are all amazingly tolerant of her addiction to writing. She would very much like to lie about her age, but--aside from the wrinkles--this is getting increasingly difficult to do, pending the arrival of her sixth grandchild. The author currently lives with her husband on the west coast of Florida, but likes to spend the summer in the Rockies of Colorado.
