BIOGRAPHY

So I changed majors twice and played hooky to attend a Who concert, (March 1976, the Boston Garden), but I knew what I wanted. Having goals is the key to success. Sacrifice helps, too. Almost 20 years after college graduation, I signed a contract with British publisher Domhan Books. I spent several summers in England writing, researching, and re-re-rewriting my 4-book Yorkist saga. A dedicated history buff and Anglophile, I’m a member of the Richard III Society, a fascinating group of learned historians, some of whom claim to have met Richard.

Two weeks after graduating college, I moved to London where I met my husband, British-born Chris Caligari, imported him to the U.S. and we started a construction cost consulting business in Houston, Texas. Houston in the 80s was a dazzling rock music Mecca, with venues and clubs galore. I created a music magazine, Wireless, with an equally ambitious group of writers.

Chris became my husband and a U.S. citizen in 1986, and  in 1995, we started CostPro Inc., a construction cost consulting company, which is thriving in the New England region. I'm indulging another longtime interest, archaeology, for which I’m working on a Master’s Degree. We also love to travel. The Mediterranean cruise "Cradles of Civilization" aboard the Rotterdam included a visit to the Pyramids of Egypt. I was  fortunate to visit Poland, my grandmother's native land, and Chopin's birthplace as well as the resting place of his heart, Warsaw.

I received my Real Estate license in January '07. I've been investing in rental condos for several years, and really enjoy the business.

My books are essentially romances against a backdrop of political upheaval, court intrigue, poverty, and general drama of the surroundings. What I'm trying to say in my stories is that love can prevail no matter what the conflicts and obstacles.

Please Email me if you would like some promo materials, or just drop me a line if you would like to be on my mailing list. I would love to hear from you!
