Alice Orr's Biography at The Romance Club

Alice Orr has a wide range of experience in writing and publishing, as teacher, author, book editor and literary agent. Alice's first priority is providing full-service representation for the clients of Alice Orr Agency, Inc, her New York City-based literary agency. This is Alice's tenth year as an agent.

As an authors, Alice's romantic suspense novel PROTECT ME, LOVE, received the Kiss of Death Award for Best Long Contemporary Suspense from the National Mystery-Suspense Chapter of Romance Writers of America. Another Alice Orr novel, MAHATTAN HEAT, was awarded Honorable Mention in the same competition. Her thirteenth book, HEAT OF PASSION, was published in April 1998. Her fourteenth book, DEAR SANTA, will be out in December 1998. Both of these Romantic Thrillers are published by Harlequin Intrigue.

Alice is a former editor of mystery-suspense and romance fiction. She has taught and lectured for over thirty years. She is past president of the New York Chapter of Mystery Writers of America and former vice president of Sisters in Crime Midlantic Chapter. She is a member of the Association of Authors' Representatives and was named Agent of the Year by both the New York City and New Jersey chapters of RWA, as well as Editor of the Year by the National Booklovers Convention.

Alice is married, has two grown children and a perfect baby granddaughter.
